circa 1845, with side-by-side 4in. barrels, the top-rib signed 'J. BRADDELL, BELFAST', bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, fenced nipples, scroll engraved boxlock side-hammer action with radiused corners, engraved top-tang, finely chequered walnut butt, moulded iron heel-plate with engraving and central trap-door, clip-corner escutcheon to rear and guarded double triggers, fitted with a captive iron ramrod below the barrels, traces of original finish
